
Dr. Marilyn Ann Márquez, M.D., is a fellowship-trained Medical Retina Specialist with advanced clinical and research experience. She received specialized training at Duke University Eye Center and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, two of the nation’s leading ophthalmic institutions.
Dr. Márquez specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal vascular disorders, geographic atrophy, and retinal degenerations. Her clinical experience includes intravitreal treatments, laser procedures, and advanced retinal imaging.
Dr. Márquez has also served as a Sub-Investigator on numerous Phase II and Phase III clinical trials and has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and national and international ophthalmology conferences. Her research experience gives her valuable insight into emerging treatments and advances in retinal care.
Dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care, Dr. Márquez takes the time to listen to her patients and help them understand their diagnosis and treatment options. She is fluent in English and Spanish and also speaks Italian and German.
