Dr. Tsipursky is a retina specialist with extensive experience in medical and surgical treatment of all retinal conditions. After completing training at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL and Associated Retinal Consultants in Phoenix, AZ he continued his career in Champaign, IL at Carle Hospital/University of Illinois where he served as an assistant clinical professor, teaching, conducting clinical and translational research and rendering high volume retina care for entire central Illinois. He became the head of retina service in the eye department and at the age of 36 became the Chair of the Eye Department where he built it to a semi-academic teaching facility with 12 providers with all subspecialities of ophthalmology and optometry represented. Dr. Tsipursky has published extensively in peer reviewed journals and contributed to several book chapters. He regularly presents at scientific conferences and serves as CEO of a biotechnology company which he co-founded with a professor at the University of Illinois.
His company (ReVive Biotechnology, Inc.) develops cutting edge therapeutics for the treatment of blinding ocular conditions. Dr. Tsipursky is an innovator and has been awarded several patents for his inventions relating to improving retinal diseases. He consistently ranks as one of the best doctors in the nation and has been chosen by his peers to the Castle Connoly Best Doctors in America for 8 years in a row. Dr. Tsipursky and his family relocated to SW Florida in August of 2022 just in time for hurricane Ian. They are happy to make paradise coast their home!
